Before the summer ended we wanted to have one last hurrah so we headed to St George. Usually we spend many weekends in St. George but because of the baby, the extended hospital stay and all the many things that needed to be done this summer we hadn't made it down once yet. We packed up in the car on a Thursday night and left straight from Kaden's back-to-school night to head to grandmas house. It seemed like a forever long drive and we finally pulled into St. George about 1 o'clock in the morning.
One of the kids favorite things to do is take a bath in grandmas huge bathtub. There is even a TV right above the tub so often times they spend hours playing in the water and watching shows. Saturday morning Taycee asked to get in the tub all by herself and so we put a few inches of water in the bottom of the tub and let her play. The master bath is connected to the master bedroom and we were all hanging out in the area trying to get Addison to smile. Chris turned around to check on Taycee and saw that she had what looked to be red lipstick all over her lips. He walked over to take away the lipstick and noticed it wasn't lipstick but blood all over her lips. Then he saw a mens razor in the bottom of the tub. Apparently Taycee had reached up onto the sink found grandpa's razor and was trying to shave her mustache just like him. Chris called his dad over trying not to get my attention because he didn't want me to see the blood and panic. Too late... I looked over just as the water hit the blood and started pouring down her face. It was awful, my stomach churned a little. I turned away and let the men handle the situation. Chris said at one point blood was spurting out of a tiny cut. Luckily it looked much worse than it really ended up being. Only two tiny little cuts on her upper lip. I don't even think they hurt much. Taycee didn't start crying til she saw the blood... then she was hysterical. She insisted on a band-aid. It is pretty hard to put a band-aid on a lip but we did our best.
Later in the day we decided to head to the city library where they have a huge splash pad for kids to play in. It was plenty hot and the kids were more than eager to get in the water and have some fun.
After the splash pad we changed the kids and let them ride the merry go round. They were in heaven. Taycee rode with uncle Cameron

It was the perfect way to kiss summer good bye, but the weekend ended much too quickly.
