Catsup... Ketchup.... CATCH UP!

Hello again blogging world, it has been a while since I last visited. The first thing to announce is that for the first time since I was 16 years old I am UNEMPLOYED! I quit work at Basic last Thursday. I have a lot of mixed emotions about the whole situation. I made a lot of good friends there that I will miss a lot. I am, however, excited to be able to devote all my energies to 2 of my favorite people in the whole world, my kids, and boy are they growing up. Taycee is a little ball of smiles and giggles these days. She LOVES to talk to herself or anyone else who will listen, I am afraid of the cell phone bill when she is a teenager. She is getting so close to rolling over and I don't like it. I just want her to stay my little baby forever. I am weening her off nursing, mostly because I am not making much milk anymore but also because she hates it. I don't know why but I feel like putting her on formula is some sort of betrayal.
Kaden is just my little man. He is quickly learning all sorts of new words and can pretty much copy anything you say. We have started him on his little potty and he HATES it. He cries and cries, but he has went a few times. We have one of those potties that sings when the duty is done. The first time he went and it started singing he cried even louder. He is really starting to look like a kid and not a baby. He is full of energy and keeps me on my toes. He is starting to really be nice to Taycee and will come up and kiss her every now and then. We gave him a much needed haircut yesterday and now he looks like he is ready to join the army! He won't sit still for more than 2 seconds so a buzz is really the only way to go with him.

Chris the dancing fool

So this weekend was quite eventful. It started out with an outing to McDonalds where Kaden got to play on the playplace for the very first time. It didn't go quite as planned seeing as there were about 100 kids there and he was mostly just in the way. The kids didn't seem to mind however, they were more than happy to climb over him or push him aside.... he yelled at them but didn't seem to mind much. His favorite part was watching the kids come down the big slide. He would point and say "wee" over and over. The night ended with the ward talent show where Chris showcased his River Dancing skills with some of the others in the Elders Quorum. It was quite the show. I have included the first of it on video.

Here is Kaden in the empty ball pit.
Kaden is getting so old so fast. He picks up a new word every day I swear. His newest word is something like.. manumena.. which means binki. Don't know where that word came from but he says it every time he wants his binki.
He as also learned what night night means. When he hears us say the word he quickly rattles off all the words he knows to get out of having to go to bed such as... " dowwn, (down) Moore, (more) eeet eeet, ( eat) num num ( also eat) show (watch a movie) bubye" And he says all of these words in about 2 seconds.

Ah our Taycee bug. She is such an angel. I am so lucky to have had 2 babies that are well behaved and happy 90% of the time. She is smiley all the time now and has even giggled once or twice. She is 3 months today! We put here in her first 0-3 month outfit (in the picture below) and it was really big on her, but I have decided to put them on her anyway. They are all winter clothes and I am afraid if I wait to long she won't wear them at all.
She has slept through the night a handful of times... we are still working on that.

Sorry about the cheeseburger in the mouth.

Chris thinking he is pretty hot stuff in his river dance.. and who am I kidding... he IS

Here is the opening 20 seconds of the 2 minute dance. Chris would be the one in the middle a foot taller than the rest... like you could miss him.

Birthday and Randomness

Here are some of the pictures off the camera the last couple weeks. We have been to both ends of the state. We spent last week with the Clayton family in Saint George and then came up to Brigham City on Sunday and have spent the last 3 days here. Saturday was my Birthday, Chris is always so good to plan so many fun things. This year he was actually able to keep a few things a surprise! (For the first time ever since we have been married) I woke up to breakfast in bed, then we went hot tubing, then a back massage, lunch, a little relaxin in bed, then he took me to dinner where he surprised me by having some of our friends join and we ended the night dancing. Thanks to everyone who came and for all the birthday wishes!

Here we are at the dance with our friends Jocelyn and Rob. This was taken after our friends Kara and Austin left.

Binki babes!

This is the cute robe Jocelyn bought for Taycee before she was born.

I just love her

Ok, so notice what he is holding up to his chest. Do you think maybe that is all he ever sees me doing? The other day he grabbed them and actually started making the noise.. whaha whaha whaha

Being such a helpful brother.

Little Surprise

So the other day Chris woke me up and showed me the camera. Taycee has been pretty happy that morning and he had captured some smiles. ( Of course she had no bow on and she was in her pj's) Because she was so happy he decided to take a little video. So here are the pictures and the video. See if you catch the little surprise he left for us all in the first few seconds of the video....

Yep thats right folks he captured his own little tootskie and thought no one would hear. hahaha!! Too bad I have great hearing and picked up on it. :) And he thought he could slip one by me. :)

Torture...

Unfortunately for my kids I am a picture happy mother. I love taking pictures. You can tell how much I take pictures by the fact that every time I turn the camera on Kaden runs for the hills. My computer is full of pictures of even the tiniest event. Every morning when I get my kids dressed I think they are so stinkin cute that I need to take about a zillion pictures to savor the moment. I hate how fast they grow up. I looked at Taycee today and almost cried because it seems like every time I blink she gets bigger and more grown up. I can't believe that Kaden is a toddler... a KID ...not a baby. It makes me so sad. I want them to stay my little babies forever. AND at the same time I want them to grow up about 4 years so they can feed themselves and take themselves to the bathroom and get their own drinks....you get the point. Anyway, I did take a few pictures today. I tried to get one of the two of them together... haha yeah right NOT happening, Kaden would not be within 10 feet of Taycee today. Oh well there is always tomorrow.

Kath bought us this little red chair over the weekend to be the new "time out" chair. Unfortunately Kaden loved it so much it doesnt work as a punishment chair. But it was so cute I had to take some pictures with it.

Hey uh mom... can you please stop taking pictures??

He LOVES this monkey. He is always hugging it and patting its back.

She is so cute!

What a cutie!

I just cant get enough of that cute little face!

She is starting to smile all the time now. I LOVE IT!

Blessings

February 1st we blessed Taycee. It was such a special day for our family. We were surrounded by family and friends that we loved and we are so grateful for them and their support. Taycee was an angel and she looked like one too. She was nothing but smiles and coo's all day long. Chris did a wonderful job and gave a beautiful blessing. I can't fully express my love for my family. When I look at my two children I am filled with eternal gratitude to my Heavenly Father for sending them to me. I am so glad I know that we can be together for eternity. I don't know what I would do without that knowledge.

There are a lot of pictures... sorry.. but enjoy!

Kaden was also very good. He loved having so many fun kids around to play with. And he loved Kathys dogs.

A big HUGE thanks to everyone who helped out yesterday. Especially Aunt Kathy who so graciously opened her house to us for the dinner afterwards. She is such a lifesaver, I don't know what we would do without her! WE LOVE YOU!
