Wedding Attire

I had to get some pictures of the kids in their wedding outfits. They both looked adorable. Too bad Kaden will NEVER smile for a camera anymore.

This is the face in about 95% of the pictures

Chris thinks Kaden looks like a sissy in these pictures... But I like them

Kilies Wedding Dinner

This week was full of family, friends, late nights, laughs, and LOTS of chocolate. We spent the better part of 2 days dipping cake balls and pretzels in carmel, chocolate, sprinkles, nuts, cookies, toffee, mint chips... there was more I am sure... all for the reception on Saturday.
Friday night was the wedding dinner. These are the pictures from that. (There were A LOT of pictures) I didn't get any pictures of the wedding day. But the photographer got over 700 so I guess we will just have to wait for his.
Kilie looked beautiful and all in all the day went well. We did face a small wind storm that blew over pillars and vases. A few things got forgot like Kelly's tie and playing the wedding video that I spent countless hours on. There were some minor glitches such as the chocolate fountain being turned on and chocolate being blown all over Claudia's black dress. But at the end of the day everyone had a good time and as a whole the day was great.

CONGRATULATIONS TO KYLE AND KILIE HANSEN!

Here is a random assortment from the night

Oh and after this weekend of non-stop junk food. I am officially starting a diet again... 5 days of nothing but chocolate does not do a spare tire good.

Play Dates

What a whirl-wind week it has been. We all got to have a few play dates this past week. We have some fun friends the Broughs that live close by who have a little girl close to Kadens age. Tuesday they watched the kids for us so Chris and I could go out on an official date (the first since Taycee was born) It was a much needed break and a lot of fun. Thanks guys! Wednesday we all went and played at the park. Kaden and Elena could have spent all day on the toys, Taycee enjoyed the fresh air too. Friday Elena came over and played with Kaden at our house.
You know the kids are having fun when the room ends up like this....

Elena thinks she sees a monster....

It is! It is a Monster!! Here he comes.

They look truly terrified don't they? :D (I am not sure who had more fun, Chris or the kids)

Taycee enjoying the games.

Saturday we went and had a party with Rob and Jocelyn. Chris and Rob watched the Jazz game while Jocelyn and I entertained the girls. (These are horrible pictures because the lighting was bad.)

They are destined to be BFF'sSunday Grandma and Grandpa Clayton took the kids so I could finish up some things for Kilies wedding this weekend. So the last 2 days have been child free at our house. It has been very quite and very clean. I forgot what life without kids was like.
I also spent some time making some hair bows for the wedding and for a few orders. Check out the bow blog if you haven't seen it in awhile and SPREAD THE WORD!! Thanks.
Tomorrow we head down to St. George for the wedding festivites. More on that to come.

Birthdays, Duckies, Faces and Flowers

The header pretty much says it all
This is the usual face I get from Kaden when he sees me with a camera...
Then after a little coaxing and many strange noises I get a variety of other faces Then there is Taycee who I can almost always get some type of smile, coo or giggle out of..

My little flower

Can't get enough of those chubby cheeks
She is 5 months now... I hate it, and yet I love all the cute new things. She jabbers all day now to anyone or no one. She is really gut laughing now. She reaches for everything she can see. And we painted her toes and finger yesterday. It will never cease to amaze me how such a tiny being can hold such a HUGE part of your heart.
We went to feed the ducks... and ended up feeding about a hundred seagulls
Look Daddy "quack quack" ( this could mean duck bird, or anything else that has wings and a beak)
Happy birthday to Grandma (GG) Sharp. One of my most favorite people in the world. Thanks for being our grandma. We love you SO MUCH

fRiEnDs
Friend (noun): a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. a person who gives assistance; patron; supporter

"A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out." -Walter Winchell

Its funny how different friendships can be. Some friends are life long and feel more like family. Some friends you have had your whole life yet you don't feel that close to them. Others you have known a short time yet you feel like you've been friends your whole life. Chris and I are lucky enough to have some amazing friends in our lives. Many of them we have made within the last few years. Recently Chris and I have received an outpouring of love and support from our friends as Chris has recently lost his job. I just wanted to say a special Thank You to those friends. (you know who you are) We are so glad that you are part of our lives we feel blessed to know that we have such amazing friends. And we hope that we can be the same kind of friends to you that you are to us!

Thank You!

-Chris, Jill and Family

Easter!

We had a fabulous busy Easter weekend! It started on Thursday when we went to five mile pass with my family on a little four-wheeler excursion. It was a little bit chili but Kaden thought he was in heaven because he got to be outside the whole day. He went for his first 4-wheeler ride and LOVED it! All day long he kept saying "RIDE" and trying to climb up on the four-wheelers. It was a fun day. Thanks fam!

Friday we headed down to St George for more Easter festivities. As always we got to play out in the sun a little bit and it made me wish we didn't live in cold rainy Salt Lake. Kaden was thrilled with the Easter egg hunts he got to go on. In St George we just kept throwing the same eggs out on the grass and he would squeal with glee each time and run to go get them and put them in his basket. We also went to a pet store on Saturday. Kaden didn't know what to do first there were puppy, chicks, kittens, birds, chinchillas, pigs, turtles, fishes, snakes, lizards, frogs.... I am sure there was more I just can't remember. He was so excited. He just kept pointing and saying "ooo" one of the parrots said "Hello" to him and he thought that was just about the coolest thing that ever was. We decided from now on we will not pay for the zoo because he has just as much fun at the pet store. He has learned the names of almost all the animals. "bunny" is his newest word. He can repeat almost anything you say now however most of the time he doesn't know what it means. He says "Oh NO" all the time now and shakes his head like something awful has happened. Whenever he hears people laughing he covers his mouth with his hand and fake laughs... it cracks me up. We have to keep close tabs on him so he doesn't run off... he is becoming quite the escape artist.
GG Sharp came to visit today and brought cousin Hannah. Kaden LOVES to have friends and was so excited to have someone to play with. He is a boy through and through however and I think Hannah got a little tired of him being so rough. They did have a good time though. Thanks for coming to play!
Taycee is getting so big. It really does make me sad. We put her in her jumper for the first time this last week and she really liked it. She is still a little bit small and her head barely pokes above the top. She also has started to eat cereal and seems to be doing well with that.
As for a diet update... I AM FINISHED! Well with the main diet part that is. I lost 23 lbs total and now I have 18 days left of maintenance... Then it is BRING ON THE CARBS! :D We are having a celebration party May 4th at Pizza Factory in Salt Lake. All are invited. Let me know if you want to come.

If you read the last post you know Kaden escaped from the house and was brought back by the police. We decided to label him with a return address label in case he escaped again! haha
