Little Boys and Little Noses

We had a fun little adventure with Kaden today. We were out doing a few errands and I turned around to see this....Kaden had a wet wipe and was shoving it up his nose. I didnt think much of it and grabbed the wet wipe from him. About 15 minutes later I was waiting with the kids in the car while Chris was buying a few things. I noticed Kaden had his finger up his nose and he was digging around. I reached back to chastise him a bit and when I pulled his finger out of his nose I noticed a little white thing up inside. I got a kleenex to get it out and when I did I realized that there wasn't just one little white thing inside, he had wadded up several small pieces of wet wipe and jammed them up into both nostrils, so far that I had to lift up the end of his nose and make him look like a piggie to see them. I was a little concerned and tried to get them out with my nails.... no luck. When Chris got back in the car I explained the situation and he looked and thought he could get them out with tweezers. We got Kaden out of his seat and pinned him down on the drivers seat so Chris could give it a try.... no luck. Not only did we not get either one of them out they actually got pushed farther up in and he got a massive nose bleed on one side. That's when we decided it was time to call the Dr. While Chris was holding a tissue to Kadens nose (which actually stopped bleeding fairly quickly because he had a plug up there) I was on the phone with the urgent care nurse ( the regular doctor was closed). After explaining the situation she said we needed to come in and have them removed. She said it wasn't an urgent danger but we didn't want to leave them up there either. The earliest appointment she had was 7:40 pm. We had a couple hours to kill so we went to the nicklecade. We played for about an hour and just as we were leaving Kaden sneezed a HUGE GINORMOUS sneeze. And....

Out came shooting 2 huge snot soaked balls of wetwipe. With a small blood clot from his right nostril. And where did they land? Of course.. right in moms hand. The Day was saved, we didnt have to go to the Dr. and Kaden had full functionality of both nostrils.

Happy Happy Birthday Kaden!

I can't believe my little baby is 2. He is a little kid now. We love him so very much and I am so grateful he came to be a part of our family. Not a day goes by that he doesn't make me laugh and smile. He is so curious and into everything. He learns something new everyday and is always surprising me with his words. Lately he say "danet" (dang it) "ah nus" (ah nuts) "der ya go" (there ya go) "ah don" (all done) "no no don wan it" ( no no don't want it) "you ee ee" (you eat it) "wo wat dat" (woah whats that?) He is also starting to try and put sentences together. He will look at me and jabber for about 10 seconds then add a word at the end and pose it as a question... bada bada jaba da da paaark? Its pretty cute. He loves to brush his teeth and anytime I leave the bathroom door open he comes out with his toothbrush and toothpaste and says "brush?" He also is very fond of baths, parks, "rides" on anything that moves, shows, and Cars. He is a typical boy and loves to be a monster and scare people. We were at the dr a few weeks back and he found a crocodile in the toy box they had there. He growled at us to scare us for awhile and when we stopped responding he decided to move on. I watched him look at the crocodile for a minute and then he got this smile on his face like he just had a great idea. He put the crocodile behind his back growled at himself then screamed and ran for cover. hahaha it cracked me up. He is definitely a 2 year old and is into everything. He broke the entertainment center door, tore apart a book on CD, pulled apart my wallet and ripped a few dollar bills, dumped red juice on the carpet, played in a new can of formula and dumped a bag of rice in the flour.... ALL IN ONE DAY! ahh, yes he is definitely a terror at times but we LOVE him oh so much! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!
1 Day old in the hospital

This is the cake I made for the party. Not too bad for my first attempt. (It is a monkey)

Here is Kaden opening some presents. He is a very good present opener, he gets so excited over everything.

Helping me cut the cake

Poor Taycee has bad allergies so she had swollen eyes and a runny nose all day.

Thanks to everyone who came to support the party. It was a lot of fun.

The wind blew a plate of ketchup right into Kaden's face. Good thing grandma was there to take care of him! :D

Grandpa Clayton was the Master of the Grill

After the party most everyone went for a swim. This was our first time in our pool. It was a little bit chilli, but both kids got in and seemed to be ok with it.
She finally fell asleep at the poolKaden got a TON of great presents for his birthday but his favorite by far was his fish. He calls it "wishie" so that is his name now. Here is Kaden laying down looking at wishie the fish. He also loves this scooter. Chris tried to teach him how to use it but he didn't quite get the idea. He just swings his leg to the side and waits for dad to pull him.

3 YEARS!!

May 25th was Chris and my 3 year anniversary. We went down to Vegas for 2 days and had a really good time. We stayed at the planet Hollywood and saw a hypnotist show Monday night. Tuesday we hit up the stratosphere and the outlet malls. We really enjoyed having a couple days to just enjoy each other and not worry about the kids. Its good to get away and remember all the reasons that you fell in love to being with. I really can't believe we have only been married for 3 years. It seems like a whole different world ago that I was single and in college. But I guess that really is true, it was a whole different world. Nothing changes your world quite like having a family of your own.
I am so grateful to have Chris as my husband. He is an amazing man. He is the best father and husband I could have ever asked for. People who know him are always telling me how lucky I am to have him and I know it is true. I love him with all of my heart and I am so glad he is mine.

Leaving from St George for Vegas the morning of the 25th.. almost 3 years to the minute from when we were married.

Our serious looks after a tasty breakfast at I-HOP

Getting ready to hit the town and go see a show

The Ballagio and the water fountains.. which were BEAUTIFUL.

LOVE

Dreamers

This was the lobby of our hotel

This was the view of our hotel room, ( The water fountains were going)

This is the ride at the stratosphere that Chris about peed his pants on. He really honestly almost made me ride by myself.

See that little hook thing at the top.... yeah that's where we were dangling out over the building.

That's right folks he gives foot rubs in the car while driving. Talented and he's hott. Jealous?? I know.
Happy 3 years babe!

Extreme Bedroom Make-Over

WE DID IT!!!
We re-did Kadens room. We decided it was time to let his baby things go and give him a big boy room for his 2 year birthday. It took a few days and some late nights but it is done and I think it turned out pretty great... what do you think?

When Kaden saw it for the first time he got a big smile and kept pointing at everything and saying "'cars, cars, cars"

There are a few things that still aren't done. We are adding a shelf with some fishes on the side of the window. I am also waiting for a few custom picture frames for his wall. We also got a bright red changing pad cover. But you get the general idea.
