Week at the Claytons

Well things are back in full force here at the Clayton Residence. Kaden is back from his vacation to grandmas and now thinks he is king of the house... hmm I wonder why... We are now retraining him to what the word "no" means and he visits the time out chair A LOT. He is starting to pay more attention to Taycee now and even tries to help her when she is crying. It is pretty cute. His new fascination is wiping his face with a tissue. And as of late sticking that tissue up his nose. About 2 minutes ago I pinned him down and pull a wad of tissue out he had got stuck up in his nose. Taycee is my new little buddy, we spend lots of time together... especially in the middle of the night! She has slept through the night twice now and we are hoping that will become a new routine. Kaden now is picking up on words very quickly and is getting better at communicating what he wants. He says "show" "socks" "binki" "juice" and others.

This is the time-out chair... I know I shouldn't be taking pictures while he is there.. less effective all together... but I had to capture the memory.

Haha I don't even know how he got his arm out the top of his shirt... but he did. He is learning to undress himself. Today I went in his room and he had taken his pants off. Silly boy.

2 Months Old ALREADY?

Wow I can not believe my baby is 2 months old. Time goes by WAY TOO FAST!! She had her 2 month apointment today and she was.... drum roll please.....

9 lbs 9 oz. and 21 1/4 inches long.

25% for her weight
25% for her height
25% for her head circumference


She is little and I love it.


2 months old also means she got her first shots. It was SO SAD. She was so happy before the shots cooing and smiling and kicking her legs and then the shots happened... I about cried. She kept crying and giving me a huge pouty lip. It was a heartbreaker. She fell right to sleep as soon as we left the dr's office.

Can't Get Enough!

Can't get enough of her cute little face, and her cute little lips, her cute little fingers and cute little toes. I could sit and stare at her for hours!... I dont'... but I could. Our little snow princess!

Recently there has been a debate about whether Kaden and Taycee look alike. Of course there are similarities because they are siblings. Here are a few pictures of both Kaden and Taycee at the same age almost to the day.

In other news... Kaden is starting to copy everything I do. He sees me taking pictures and he goes and gets his camera... I try to take something away from him and he shakes his finger at me and says "no no dont touch"

Weekend and Weddings

This weekend we went down to St George and surprised Claudia and Kelly for their 26th anniversary. While we were down there we went shopping for Kilies Wedding dress. We were successful! She picked her dress at the first store we went to. Congrats Kilie! While we were there we put one of the HUGE white hair flowers on Taycees head. Haha it was pretty funny.

We sure do love her! She is getting so big. She fits newborn clothes perfectly now. I can't believe she is 7 weeks old.

Our cute Kaden Boy. He is so sweet and is doing so good at being a big brother.

Last week it was pretty cold in Salt Lake so we put Taycee in her pram. It is really big on her but it is super warm and snugly and she looked so cute.

Thanks to everyone for your words of advise and support from the last post. I didnt realize how desperate I sounded til I read it again today. We really are doing fine and well, I just have moments I feel like I belong in a luney bin... but those are just moments.

H-E-L-P

"Help, I need somebody,Help, not just anybody,Help, you know I need someone,Help!" Aren't the Beatles great? Okay I really am not in desperate need of help. But I am tired and worn out. Can any experienced moms out there tell me how does one do anything with 2 kids? Saturday night was the worst yet. Between Kaden and Taycee we were up ALL NIGHT. Not one little bit of sleep. Last night was a little better but still... I am exhausted. I feel like even if I were to sleep for 3 solid days it wouldn't be enough to re fuel my energy meter.
And then there is the matter of everything else that needs to be done. The house cleaned, Christmas things put away, the kids cleaned, Dr. Appointments, and grocery shopping. HOW DO I DO THIS??? i am constantly chasing Kaden, I feel like the only real words I say are "No" "Don't Touch That" and "leave sister alone". I have found money in the toilet, tinfoil completely unrolled and toilet paper all over the house.
I haven't been to buy groceries in.... I don't even know how long. We have no food left in the house, we opened canned veggies.... EW! I hate canned veggies, but the alternative of going to the store seems worse. We now are out of hairspray, tinfoil, Kaden diapers, Wipes, and pretty much all the basics of food. I also can't put anything away because I need more storage bins so all of the Christmas things are still out and Kaden has a pile of 12-24 mo. clothes sitting on his floor that need to be packed away. Anyone think that it is time to suck it up and go to the store?... Yeah, me too. But how? Do I carry Kaden and put taycee in the cart and try to push with one hand? Do I put Kaden in the cart and carry Taycee? Do I put Taycee in the cart and let Kaden run wild? ( Bad Idea for sure) Do I try to push 2 carts? I can't put them both in one or there is no room for groceries. How is this done?
OH and how about the shower? When do I do that? They don't ever both nap at the same time, the minute Kaden goes down Taycee wants to eat and the second I get her changed and fed and laid down he is up and bouncing around causing havoc. Yesterday was the first day I showered in a week. Gross I know.... but I just don't have time. I use to make fun of those moms who stayed home and still had a nanny. Now I TOTALLY get it. Lucky them.
I know what you are all thinking "she has time to write this eternally long blog" Well my friends I am multi-tasking. Kaden is in bed screaming. I am bouncing Taycee on my legs and pumping while I type. Yeah, couldn't do all that in the shower. I have come to enjoy pumping however because i get to sit down for a few minutes.
Alright I am done, thanks to anyone who actually made it to the bottom of this post. If anyone would like to join me in crazyville I am home all day. (Unless I venture to the store... which probably wont happen) However I can not guarantee the state of my house or myself so come at your own risk.
