4 years

Our 4 year anniversary was on the 25th. But I got Chris Brian Regan tickets for the 13th in St George so we celebrated early that weekend. The kids stayed with Chris's parents and we got a hotel room. It was so nice to get away and remind ourselves how much fun we have together. I am so glad I married my best friend.
These pictures are way out of order...
We got smoothies for breakfast at the orange peel... yummy.
Glad this handsome man is my husband

4 years and still so happy.

This was the pool outside our hotel room

Sweet nose shots

This is a random picture but I've taken a lot of baby pics this month and this is one of my favorites.

While we were in St george we went to the temple with Ben for his endowment. After we had a little pizza party at the park. Taycee got her first ice cream cone.... and LOVED it.

The perfect way to end our anniversary weekend. A session at the temple with the family.
When Chris and I went out for to dinner on our actual anniversary I asked him to name 5 things about me he didnt know before we were married. He said..
1. I didnt know how patient you could be.
2. I didnt know how quickly you learned new things
3. I didnt know how obbessed you were with washing your face and brushing your teeth at night ( almost to the point of OCD)
4. I didnt know that you rarely lose when playing a game
5. I didnt know how well you could participate in a conversation you know nothing about.
I said...
1. I didnt know how amazing you were with kids
2. I didn't know that once you start something you are obsessed with it til it is finished.
3. I didnt know how much you loved enchiladas
4. I didnt know you talked in your sleep
5. I didnt know how quick you are to swallow your pride and admit when you are wrong.

More of May

Well we are here. We are all moved in to our new home and the last box is unpacked. I havent had internet for 4 days and I felt a little bit out of touch. But we are up and running and settling in to our new place. The kids seem to like it. They are not use to having stairs and multiple levels to play on so they are keeping quite busy exploring the house. Yesterday I told Kaden we were leaving and he asked if we were going home so I guess he doesnt quite understand that this is home now. I am going to try hard to update on all that has happened and not miss out on anything. It might take a few days.
At the beginning of may I bought a family pass to the zoo. We have been there 3 times since. The kids love it. Taycee runs around pointing to all the different things. Kaden thinks the monkeys are the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Uncle Hunter took the kids for a ride on his four-wheeler. They LOVED it, Taycee screamed for 15 minutes when we had to take her off.

Kaden and Aunt Jenny at the zoo

We went to the living planet aquarium and then to Jungle Jims with our good friends Rob and Jocelyn and their little girl Rylee. It was a good time.

May

May was a busy busy crazy month. Thankfully it was just as busy with playing as it was with work. Lots of changes are happening around our house. The biggest one being that we are moving to Layton.... in like 4 days. So right now my house half in boxes and half torn apart. That's always fun. There is no way I can catch up on all that has happened in May in one post. So I am going to do a little post each day when I need a break from boxing.
We will start with the fist of May.
Once we finished finals... WAHOO!! ( Oh an by the way I got 102% on that final I was waiting to take) We decided some time away was greatly needed. Luckily we have AWESOME parents who were happy to oblige. Chris's parents and my sister Jenny came up and watched the kids and my parents took us to Moab for a jeeping trip. It was the first jeeping trip Chris and I have ever been on. It was a blast. We rode all day Fri and Sat and came home Sat night.

We got to see beautiful sights like this...

And see lots of crawly creachers like this.. ( I didn't hold it... we let my dad do those honors.)

We watched people do crazy things like this...

And did some crazy stuff ourselves.

It was a fun trip and the perfect way to end Spring semester.

We came home to find that everyone was healthy and well. Kaden did get a hold of some black fabric dye which he spilled on the carpet. So we now have a few black spots on the carpet. Guess its a good thing we are moving out. :)

The weekend ended with a great Mothers Day with my two little mess makers.

What happened to April?

May? Are you serious? Did April even happen? I really can't believe that it is May already. I am a blogging slacker. Finals are this week... enough said. Actually right now I am sitting outside a testing center waiting for 4:15 to come so I can go in a take a final. The past few days have been spent doing nothing but studying. Last night we went to Wal-Mart and walked through the toy isles for family home evening just to get out of the house for awhile. May I suggest that this is a bad idea. We had no intention of buying anything and Kaden had every intention of buying everything that had a button or made a noise... which was 80% of everything there. We did end up getting some more underwear, 2 pair of water shoes, and some 4T jammies. I can't believe my son who is 2 wears 4T clothing... ok actually one pair I bought was 6T and although it was a bit big he can still wear them. What the? He is a gigantic child. Hopefully that height pays off for him in the future.
Do you ever remember odd things? Things that you have no reason for remembering or that have no value in knowing? I do. I remember all sorts of odd bits of information. For instance, I walked into the bathroom just a few minutes ago here at the school it was empty so all the stall doors were open. My mind went back to a high school statistics class where I learned that people will always go for a middle stall, and rarely go for the first stall. Strange? Yes. Useful? No. True? I think so. I walked to the third stall in. Chris hates that I have such a good memory. This is partially due to the fact that he has the worst memory on earth and partially due to the fact that I remember every thing he does- good and bad. :D Hopefully this good memory serves me well in this upcoming exam. 30 minutes to go.
I promise there will be a real post soon. A post of pictures and updates and funny stories about the kids but to be honest I can not think of one update or funny story to tell right now. My mind is full of facts about the brain and the eyes and the nose and the tongue and the skin. I can tell you that taste receptors are located on taste cells that are located on taste buds that are located in papillae that are located on the tongue. Did you know that?
Here is an update- Kaden had his first outing out of the house in underwear today. It was a short outing and all we did was go pick up Chris's computer ( that crashed last week... talk about the worst week ever to lose your hard drive) from PC laptops and pick up some fries at Wendys but still it was a momentous occasion. Hopefully when this week is over I can revert back to normal mom and actually finish this whole potty training thing. Lately I have been momzilla who makes her kids watch elmo 30 times a day ( it is Elmo's potty time if that gets me any credit) so she can do school work and study and edit pictures. I haven't been nearly attentive enough to potty train ( properly) or do anything else a good mom does. One more week kids and you can have your mom back.... if you still want her.
Chris is a gem. He is trying to keep me sane and the kids alive and still be the amazing PHD student that he is. He went to Georgia for a conference a few weeks back and I am happy to say that we successfully handled 5 days with no dad. However I can say with strong conviction that I would not make it as a single mom. Chirs might be gone a lot during the week but the time is home makes a lot of difference. He has spent a lot more time at home the last little while so that I can actually get some quiet study time in. He is my lifesaver. I love you Chris.
Well test time is almost here, wish me luck. Sorry this post isn't interesting or funny or exciting. Life really hasn't been any of those things lately. Mostly we are just scrambling to hold it together. Friday can't come fast enough.

Dear May,
Will you please be full of warm sunny days spent playing at the park?
Thanks,
Jill

Easter Pics

They say better late than never... right?

Here is our Easter Weekend pics

We spent some time in the sun

Kaden and Grandma played on the swing

Peek-a-boo daddy

We went to the park to fly kites

We Colored some Easter Eggs

We all got very spoiled by the very generous easter bunny.
Notice Taycee is digging in Kadens basket and Kaden is digging in Taycee's basket.
This wasn't Easter but for documenting sake I'm adding it in.
I decided to do Taycee's hair a little fancy a few Sunday's ago. It took about 10 minutes and I decided it wasn't worth it in the end. But she sure looked cute that day. This is what it looked like when we took it all out that night.

I Love when Beautiful things like this show up at my door...

Thanks Honey.

Prayers

It is time for Kaden to go to bed, he really doesn't want to. He just asked Chris if he could watch a show. Chris said no and told him it was time to brush his teeth and say his prayers. He agreed and asked if it was "Kaden's turn" to say prayers. Chris said yes, Kaden immediately started praying, his prayers are mostly mumbled with few recognizable phrases. Tonight they went like this, "Heavenly Father, thankful for this day, please let me watch a show... amen." Kaden then looked at Chris and said "ok your turn dad"

Haha... gotta love kids.
