Moments...
Everyone has those moments where they search for a reason to explain away their pure lack of intelligence. Yesterday morning I had one of those moment. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I take Kaden to daycare. Kaden's daycare is fairly close to our home. Yesterday morning I got up early so I could get Kaden ready and take him to day care and still be to work at a decent time. The morning was going well and I was out the door at about 7:30. I put Kaden in his car seat jumped in the car and headed on my merry way.... It was about 20 minutes later when I was getting off of I-215 and merging onto I-80 ( about 5 minutes away from my work) that I realized Kaden was still sitting in the back of the car!!! AHHH! Who does that? Who forgets their child is in the car and drives all the way to work? Today I will blame it on being pregnant, and having a lot of things on my mind lately. Anyway, needless to say I got to work and turned right around drove all the way back to Kadens day care (about 25 minutes) and then drove back to work. What a waste of expensive gas and time. So much for getting to work early! Oh well, at least I didn't do something really stupid and leave him in the car or something.

I will never forget going to AZ for Meghan's Baptism. Claudia and the family came as well and we had to go buy some sheet music for Lisa. Cameron is maybe a year old and one of the kids put him way in the back of the suburban. Now remember we were in AZ - hot, hot, hot. Fortunately the burb was parked facing west up against the building so it was shaded a bit but I'll bet it was 100+ that day. When we came out of the store and opened the car door there was Cameron screaming at the top of his lungs. His face was just purple and we rushed him inside the store and threw cold water all over him. He could very easily have died and his Mom would have been prosecuted. That was one of the scariest moments of my life. It's normal to get caught up in life and forget things. I'm just amazed that he was quiet for so long that you forgot he was there. Someone was looking out for you and cute little Kaden baby.
Love,
Aunt Kathy
