Christmas and New Years!

Wow! It has been an eventful week! I guess it always is at this time of year though. We have been at both ends of the state in the last week and had a blast in both places. Christmas was great, we spent Christmas week in St George with the Clayton family. Christmas Eve we went to eat at I-Hop ( Clayton Family Tradition) and then spent a few hours wrapping presents. :) Kaden did very good this year with the presents. Last year he didn't really understand but this year he definitely got it. He was very spoiled by grandma ( of course) and we now have a room full of new toys for him to play with.

We spent New Years with my family. New Years Eve we had a party with of my moms cousins/aunts/uncles/ who knows.... there were quite a few people there and we had a lot of fun. We played a few games and ate a lot of food. Chris got to play basketball for most of the night which he enjoyed thoroughly.
New Years Day we continued the party up at the big sledding hill on the family property. Taycee stayed home with my Dad because it was a little cold for her tiny body. We dressed Kaden up in all of his snow things... it was quite the ordeal. By the time we layered his sweat suit, snow suit, 2 gloves, 2 hats, and boots he couldn't really walk and his hands were inoperable but he sure did look cute. When we got out of the car he tried to walk and immediately face planted it in the snow. It was hard not to laugh. Once we got to the top of the huge hill ( we only walked once and let the snowmobiles drive us to the top the rest of the time.) Kaden went down on a tube with Chris and liked it. The next time we decided to pile everyone on a tube ( Me, Jason, Jenny, Heather, and Kaden) We made it about 5 seconds before we all tumbled off the tube... Kaden didn't like that so much and neither did my back. I was still sitting down on the hill and I picked him up to calm him down, as I did that I started to slide down the hill and gain speed. Luckily Chris was there to chase me down and stop me before we tumbled again.
After our fall Kaden was a little bit shaken up so we went and sat around the fire and had some hot dogs and hot chocolate. We ended the trip with one more slow safe tube ride down the hill so to make sure Kaden ended on a good note.
Thanks to our families for such a fun couple of weeks!!

Kaden LOVED to carry the basketball around the gym. I am not sure the other players appreciated it so much.

We were playing curses. Chris was a gorilla with a golfball in his mouth. Julie was someone with no fingers who had to bite the end of her tounge while speaking.
