Happy Anniversary!!

Happy Anniversary to us! Wow how fast time goes by. For our anniversary this year we went up to Park City. It was a little bit cold but it was an amazing weekend. We had so much fun, shopping, riding the Alpine coaster and Alpine slide, and enjoying our suite (which had its own personal hot tub on the deck) It was a much needed weekend away. Thanks so much to Grandma and Grandpa Clayton for taking Kaden for the weekend. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

On the lift to the top of the mountain!

Made it... safe and sound

The Alpine Coaster.... it was kinda freaky.

Shopping

Ten of the Billion things I love about Chris....

1. I love the way he frowns a bit every time he sniffs to open up his nostrils a little wider.

2. I love it when he wakes up in the middle of the night ranting something in Mandarin Chinese...okay so I love it more the next morning than I do that night.

3. I love the sheepish grin he gets on his face when he is trying to hide something.

4. I love what an amazing example he is to me and Kaden of doing exactly what he believes is right. I also love how happy it makes him to serve others. He has taught me so much about gaining joy and love for others through service.

5. I love that even though most of the time he wants to roll his eyes at me, he smiles and just says "yes dear". (And probably rolls his eyes when he leaves the room.)

6. I love what a tender man he is. He is always willing to sit and talk with me or hold me while I cry about something he doesn't understand. He has such a tender touch and I always feel safe when I am with him.

7. I love how handsome he is. He can melt my heart anytime.

8. I love that even when he wanted to go to bed 2 hours earlier he pretends like he isn't tired and wants to stay up and talk until I say I am ready for bed.... (at which point he crashes in .01 seconds.)

9. I love how amazing he is with Kaden. He is such a good daddy and Kaden adores him. Chris is constantly making Kaden laugh, or teaching him a new trick, or giving him pep talks about life, (which is so cute by the way) or changing a diaper, or making Kaden dinner, or in some way taking care of Kaden.... while simultaneously taking care of me. Who said men couldn't multi-task?

10. I love how he loves me. I have never felt so completely loved and accepted. I truly have the most amazing husband in the world. If you don't believe me ask anyone who knows him... I am constantly being reminded by family and friends that they just don't make men as good as Chris is. He is the most selfless person I know and I am constantly trying to be the wife he deserves. I didn't think I would ever find someone who was so perfectly made for me.... but I did.

Happy Anniversary babe. I love you. - Jill

I was lost.... but now I am found!

I know it has been a century since my last post... okay maybe not that long but longer than usual. I am not one to open my mind and let it flow through my fingers onto a blog post. Usually most of what I post are simply little updates on Kaden and the family. (That's all the grandmas care about anyway :) Today however, I have the simple need to let myself vomit into this post all the emotions and thoughts that have been Jill for the last few weeks. I have been scrambled between work and everything else and sometimes I just feel like I am lost between the cracks. Here are 10 things I know for sure.

10. Being pregnant is not easy for me. There is something about my body that absolutely revolts being pregnant. I can sleep 10 hours and feel like I have slept 10 minutes. Convincing my hand to bring food to my mouth is difficult, convincing my mouth to chew and swallow is yet harder and to keep food down is a magic trick I just haven't mastered yet. Everything on my body aches or hurts and my mental status... well to say it is lacking would be charitable.

9. I hate working for men. Okay not all men but certain ones. Is there something on my forehead that says "I am a woman therefore all I know how to do is mail insurance checks and hang up maps."?? There must be.

8. Chocolate ice cream can and will save lifes.

7. Life is just a combination of moments. The trick is to cherish the good moments and forget the rest.

6. Nobody can read minds. If anyone has learned that trick please teach me... on the other hand, please teach everyone around me.

5. I hate cars. I hate replacing them, I hate driving them, I hate paying to have them insured and registered. Why can't we all just fly?

4. Family is what gets you through everything. Without my family I would have given up a long time ago.

3. Zophran... amazing. David Archuletta.... Amazing.

2. I have the best husband and and son in the world. Lately I feel like they get what I call "leftover Jill". And believe me its no better than the zucchini casserole that's been left in the fridge for 10 days. Yet Chris continues to pamper me like royalty with a smile on his face... a genuine smile. Kaden seems to love me even though most of the time all the energy I have to play is used simply bending over to pick him up. And he continues to melt my heart by acting like a crazed monkey every time I come home from work. I can't wait to just stay home and be a mom and wife.

1. I am so blessed, I cant even begin to list all that I am blessed with. I know that there is a Heavenly Father who loves me and is somehow picking up all the pieces left at the end of every day and putting me back together.

So Chill

I can't tell you how much I love having a baby that loves to just chill. Kaden is so great at just being content to do whatever. He is such a good baby and makes it so easy to want another one! Here are some of the latest pictures.

Weekend in the Sun

This weekend we went down to Vegas for a family baptism. After they had a party at their house, which just happens to have a gorgeous pool in the backyard. Kaden got to play in a pool for the first time ever... and he LOVED it. Chris was also a favorite with the millions of 6-12 year old girls who couldn't get enough of him.I think he launched about 200 girls into the pool. . I think they both were worn out by the end of the day.

Getting all ready to go

Checking out the poolHey this isn't so bad.Taking a break to eatKaden loves to play with his daddy.Hey dad what is that? That's funnyThe Clayton kid clanKaden thought dad going down the slide was hilarious
All done! I think we are going to really enjoy grandmas pool this summer.
