Don't they look like they are having so much fun!

Jenny and Taycee
Jason and Taycee
Kaden and Taycee officially met on Wednesday night. As luck would have it Kaden was terribly sick. He was running a fever and he had a cough and a runny nose he wouldn't eat anything and he was very irritable. We didn't let them get too close to each other but when we first introduced them Kaden was not liking it. If Taycee got within a foot he would push her away. When he was sitting on dads lap if she came close he would edge away like she was some kind of scary monster. Thursday was worse, he threw up in the morning and was very fussy and whiny all day. (Kaden is NEVER fussy unless he doesn't feel good) Thursday night things took a turn for the worse. He was shaking uncontrollably and had a fever of 104. We took him to the emergency room and found out he had a double ear infection on top of a cold. The poor kid is now on antibiotics, Tylenol, and Motrin. Today he is finally acting normal again and is his happy self. This morning he really started to take to Taycee he was patting her and touching her hands and her head. He does still get a bit jealous when we are holding her and not him but over all he is doing very well with her. We are so grateful he is back to normal and Taycee didn't pick up his sickness. We are looking forward to actually getting to spend some time all together instead of trying to quarantine Kaden away from Taycee and I.
This is what Kaden looked like for the past few days

Not quite sure what to think
Let us put her on his lap but still not sure what to think
Taycee had her first bath at home on Thursday and did very well! She fussed a little bit but actually like the feel of the warm water on her head. She is such an angel. When we took her into the doctor on Wednesday for her weight check she was 5 lbs. 4 oz but the doctor said she was doing well. She is starting to eat a little better. She eats about an ounce and a half every three hours. She is an angel at night and sometimes sleeps 5 hours in between feedings. We were a little worried that we would have a naughty child because Kaden was so unbelievably good but so far it looks like we just make really good babies! LUCKY US!

Chris and I are feeling very worn out. With a sick child and a newborn we don't get much sleep. Having two kids isn't easy. My body still isn't back to normal and I have spent a few hours in bed in total pain. My back feels like I have steel rods in it and my breasts are very tender and sore. I haven't quite worked out the milk production yet. Taycee drinks 1.5 ounces every three hours and I make about 6 ounces every three hours. Needless to say I pump a lot and we already have quite the storage of milk in the freezer. Chris is trying to keep up with being an amazing father and husband and trying to keep up on school work as this is finals month. He is so amazing I know he is as tired and sore as I am but he still insists on waiting on me hand and foot. I can not express my love and gratitude for such a wonderful husband. I am so truly blessed and I am grateful for the wonderful life I have.
