Oh my Briellee you are happiness.
You are growing and changing and learning, and it is equally beautiful and heartbreaking to watch. I cheer for each new milestone then hide in a corner and cry about them. I love each new stage and long for the previous to remain. I take 42 pictures a day because I just know that the next morning you will be different. Most pictures I take have to be about this close...
Because all you really want to do is chew on my camera strap. ( I decided just to sanitize it after I couldn't keep it out of your mouth) If I move back to take pictures, the camera strap is out of your reach and you cry and roll and reach and kick your little legs til it is back in your chubby fingers.

You are such a content baby. You love eating little puffs in the high chair and will sit there while I clean the kitchen or make dinner. It does take me twice as long to get anything done that way though because I just can't help but play with your cute little self when you shoot me that million watt grin across the kitchen.
Sometimes I wish I could see things through your eyes, new and fresh, innocent and pure. I think we all would do well to see life through a child's eyes at times.

These pictures of you and Mr. Bear are getting harder to capture. We usually play a really fun game where I sit Mr. Bear next to you start making some sort of high squealing noise to try and keep your attention and run as fast as I can to capture the image before I lose your attention and you do this...
You sure do love that bear.
8 things at 8 months
1. In your 8th month you have broke through your first 2 teeth! It was a miserable couple of weeks with fevers and runny noses and little to no sleep. But they finally arrived.
2. Because of the above mentioned teeth nursing has become a whole new ballgame. Truth be told I have had enough frozen breast milk to carry you to 12 months for awhile but I just can't give it up yet. Because at 4 am when you are crying and nothing can console you till I hold you close and you nurse at that moment I am irreplaceable. I can give you, in that moment, something that no one else in the whole world can give you. It won't always be that way, I want to hold onto that as long as I can.
3. You can scoot, but it is not your preferred mode of transportation.
4. If rolling were an Olympic sport you would take gold. You can cross an entire room in seconds.
5. You love to eat. You prefer nursing to solids but either will do. I have yet to blend a vegetable concoction you won't eat although sweet potatoes do seem to be a favorite.
6. You find Addison quite funny. Especially when she is throwing a tantrum. You are usually laughing while she is screaming.
7. Last Sunday I had you in a white and black polkadot dress with a black headband. One of the very elderly ladies at church sat down by us in Sunday School looked at you and said "Why is that black thing on her head? Why would you put such an UGLY color on such a PRETTY baby!" :) Maybe black isn't your color.
8. You are loved. More than your little body can understand. YOU ARE LOVED.
